On the second attempt, the Verkhovna Rada de-Russified the names of settlements, passing a resolution on renaming 328 settlements. In particular, the town of Druzhba, Sumy region, was renamed to Khutir-Mykhaylivskyi. People’s deputy Yaroslav Yurchyshyn told in Telegram what other cities and villages received a new name UNN.

According to him, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution on renaming, in particular, the following settlements:

  • Novomoskovsk (Dnipropetrovsk region) – Samar;
  • Pershotravensk (Dnipropetrovsk region) – Shakhtarske;
  • Pervomaisk (Luhansk region) – Sokologhirsk;
  • Molodogvardiysk (Luhansk region) – Otamanivka;
  • Severodonetsk (Luhansk region) – Severskodonetsk;
  • Chervonograd (Lviv region) – Sheptytskyi;
  • Druzhba (Sumy region) – Khutir-Mykhailivskyi;
  • Krasnograd (Kharkiv region) – Berestyn;
  • Pervomaiskyi (Kharkiv region) – Zlatopil;
  • Vatutine (Cherkasy region) – Bagacheve.

According to the people’s deputy, there is still a vote in the Council for new names of cities and villages. In particular, such debatable ones as Pavlograd, Synelnikove or Pervomaisk of the Mykolaiv region.
