US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Washington next week, a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

It is expected that during the visit to the USA, Zelensky will insist on Ukraine’s membership in NATO and the European Union, the conclusion of economic and security agreements, as well as the continuation of the supply of more modern weapons as part of his “victory plan”, the publication writes.

He is due to present the plan to US President Joe Biden when they meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly later this month. He is also eager to share plans with Harris and Trump.

At the beginning of this month, Zelensky stated that Ukraine would present a victory plan to the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and both presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

Donald Trump, the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, said on September 18 that he may hold a meeting with Zelenskyi next week, when the Ukrainian leader arrives in New York to participate in a session of the UN General Assembly.
