“Today, OFAC is sanctioning 12 individuals associated with the regime’s brutal repression of the Iranian people, both inside and outside Iran,” the statement said.
The restrictions have been imposed against members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), officials of the Organization of Iranian Penitentiary Institutions, and those responsible for lethal operations abroad.

In addition, they killed protesters, imprisoned people for their political views, and tried to intimidate the Iranian people with violence.
Thus, the list of punishments includes representatives of the command of the power structures of the Iranian regime, as well as persons directly involved in repression.
