Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini is surprised that Roma, after spending almost €100m on new signings in the summer, sacked coach Daniele De Rossi after four rounds of the league. 
“I feel sorry for De Rossi. Surprised by his release, because many teams started the season with problems due to transfers and an absurd calendar. The club made a lot of signings, bought players, but football is not working quickly.”
“Your team concedes in the 95th minute and you are fired. It’s pretty sad. I always liked De Rossi both as a player and as a young coach,” said Gasperini.
In the last round, Roma came close to winning against Genoa thanks to Artem Dovbyk’s goal, but missed in stoppage time. The team has 3 points and 14th place.
