Capella Bangkok opened in 2020, when the coronavirus was spreading around the world and the tourism industry was suffering significant losses. Located in Thailand’s oldest district, Charoenkrung, near the Chao Phraya River, the hotel has 101 rooms and riverside villas with separate private gardens and pools.
Four years after its opening, the Capella Bangkok Hotel was recognized as the best in the world and took first place in the Top 50 Best Hotels rating.
In addition to it, three more hotels from Bangkok were included in the rating: Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River and The Siam.
In second place was last year’s winner, the Italian Hotel Passalacqua, whose rooms overlook Lake Como.
