Losses of the Russian army in Ukraine – what is known
In July, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the losses of the Russian Federation at the front were three times higher than those of Ukraine, and “in some directions even greater.”
On August 13, the Bloomberg agency wrote that the Russian Federation is experiencing a shortage of soldiers, so it can start a new wave of mobilization and present it as a “rotation” of troops. The German tabloid Bild believes that it will be a covert mobilization due to the huge losses.
On August 30, the Russian publication Mediazon and the Russian BBC reported that they had established the names of at least 66,000 dead Russian soldiers in Ukraine.
