People’s deputy from the “Voice” faction, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, distributed the resolution authored by the head of the “Servant of the People” faction, David Arahamiya, which proposes to the parliament to dismiss Maryana Bezugla from the position of deputy of the defense committee and even a member of the committee. And transfer her to a member of the Committee on Foreign Policy.
It is worth noting that the People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” faction is a member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation.
Previously, at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on September 4, the deputies failed to recall from her position the deputy head of the Committee on National Security and Defense of the Verkhovna Rada, Maryana Bezuglu.
In November 2023, the Verkhovna Rada registered a draft resolution on the recall of the deputy head of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Maryana Bezugloi, “in connection with unsatisfactory work in the position.”
On July 17, People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugla announced her withdrawal from the “Servant of the People” faction.
She explained this decision by her dismissal from the position of the head of the subcommittee on civil democratic oversight and control of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Development, as well as disagreement with the policy of the committee and the faction.
