Miley Cyrus was accused of looking like another famous song / Instagram photo of Miley CyrusThe famous American singer Miley Cyrus was at the epicenter of the scandal. It turned out that the actress was sued for copyright infringement related to her hit song “Flowers”. Newsweek writes about it.The company “Tempo Music Investments” believes that Myrus’s song, for which she received a “Grammy” award, is plagiarized. According to them, the composition “Flowers” is similar to the 2003 hit “When I Was Your Man” by singer Bruno Mars.
“Given the combination and number of similarities between the two songs, it cannot be denied that ‘Flowers’ would not exist without ‘When I Was Your Man,'” the lawsuit states.
By the way, in the chorus of the song “When I Was Your Man” there are the following words:
“What should I have bought you flowers? And held your hand. It wasn’t enough to give you all my time when I had the chance. All I wanted was to dance.”
In the composition “Flowers”, according to the company, there are similar words:
“I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand, talk to myself for hours, say things you don’t understand. I can make myself dance and I can hold my hand. Yes, I can love myself more, than you”.
So the lawsuit points out that Bruno is not credited as a lyricist or mentioned in any description of the song.
Cyrus herself has not yet commented on this scandal.
