Interpipe Pinchuk and the city government of Dnipro are modernizing vocational trainingInterpipe Pinchuk and the city government of Dnipro are modernizing vocational trainingViktor Pinchuk’s INTERPIPE industrial company together with the city government of Dnipro created a precedent in the field of vocational education. With the joint efforts of the community and business, they began the modernization of Vocational Training School #2, opening a new modern machine tool workshop there.

This is reported on the company’s official website.

For the new workshop, Interpipe purchased furniture, computers, and most importantly, modern lathes, milling machines, and miter saws. The City Hall of Dnipro took over the overhaul of the roof, two educational premises, a shelter, bathrooms and other premises. Therefore, already during training, young people will gain knowledge and experience that they can apply at the workplace from the first day.

“For us, the modernization of VET is a consistent step in the development of the ecosystem of technical education in Dnipro, without which it is almost impossible to overcome the shortage of specialists who can work on modern automated equipment and manage industrial work. Therefore, we invest not only in our own production, but also in schools, universities and institutions of vocational education and training,” the Interpipe company noted on Facebook.

It is reported that the workshop of machine tools is able to train 150 specialists during the year. 30 of them are vocational school students, 9th grade graduates. Another 120 people of various ages have the opportunity to take advanced training courses under an accelerated program.

Joining the efforts of business and local authorities for the purpose of modernizing the workshop is a precedent in the field of vocational education in Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, professional education in Ukraine still remains unpopular, and the state invests a lot in changing this. Today, we see the result of the involvement of the Ukrainian company Interpipe and the city, which is interested in having more qualified people on the market, in this work. specialists. This is an excellent example of what we want to scale in the future,” said Dmytro Zavhorodny, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization.

The Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe is an employer of 9.5 thousand people. The number of employees serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces or other power structures reaches 1,000.

Due to various reasons related to the war, Ukrainian industry is experiencing a significant lack of personnel.
