Taras Kremin announced this on Facebook.

“The Secretariat of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language continues to record systematic violations of the language rights of Ukrainian citizens on the Internet. Since the beginning of 2024, based on citizens’ complaints, 161 measures of state control over business entities have been initiated, which were successfully established. Most of the Internet resources at the time of state control measures had already eliminated violations of the language law.

At the same time, as of September 10, 2024, 49 warnings were issued and 16 fines were imposed for the lack of a Ukrainian-language version of the site or for the fact that the site was downloaded by default in a non-state language.

For violating the requirements of the law regarding the state language in the network, violators may be held administratively liable with a fine of 200 to 300 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from 3,400 to 5,100 hryvnias) or issued a warning, if the violation was committed for the first time, the department reminded .

A fine of 500 to 700 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (8,500-11,900 hryvnias) is provided for a repeated violation within a year.

Recently, a petition appeared on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the dismissal of Taras Kremen, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, and the creation of a language police.

A language inspection will work in Iano-Frankivsk. The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, told how this process will take place.
