Digital service “e-Ternopil” was presented in Ternopil. Resident’s portal”, which was implemented as part of the project “Local initiatives on open governance and human rights at the local level in Ukraine”, financed by the Council of Europe.

This was announced on the website of the Ternopil City Council, Ukrinform reports.

“As part of the grant agreement between the Council of Europe and the Ternopil City Council, we implemented the e-Ternopil project. The resident’s portal”. We are sincerely grateful for this to our partners, in particular the Office of the Council of Europe in Ukraine, for the opportunity to develop electronic democracy and create new digital services in Ternopil in the difficult conditions of the war,” said the Mayor of Ternopil Serhiy Nadal.

He added that “e-Ternopil. The resident’s portal” is a significant step in the activities of the Ternopil city council to create the most convenient conditions for residents to receive services, as well as involve residents in decision-making thanks to new electronic democracy services.

The new service allows community residents to easily and quickly order a variety of services online, without the need to personally visit authorities. The portal provides an opportunity to review available services, familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of their provision, as well as submit applications using an electronic digital signature. It is important that after submitting applications, answers and results can be obtained through a personal account on the portal, which greatly simplifies interaction with city authorities.

“We are very happy to cooperate with Ternopil. It is nice that the community of Ternopil joined this initiative, and residents have the opportunity to participate in city processes. Also, I would like to congratulate Ternopil’s initiative to expand the functionality of your portal for residents, which will allow all residents, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), to more easily receive services from local authorities and participate in the decision-making process,” the Deputy Head of the Office shares his impressions Erlend Falk of the Council of Europe.

The portal consists of three sections: “Services”, “E-Reception”, “E-Democracy”. Currently, 10 main city services are available on the portal, with the possibility to order them online by signing the necessary documents with an electronic signature. Also important is the “Electronic Democracy” section, where residents will be able to participate in polls and discussions, as well as submit appeals, requests or letters through the “E-reception”.

By the way, residents of the community will be able to submit requests, appeals and letters through “e-Ternopil. Resident’s portal” already on September 17. Updates for the “e-Ternopil” mobile application, which implement new functionality, will also be available.
