“Throughout the day, in various formats, there were meetings on the preparation of our Ukrainian victory plan. Real filling of all points. Military content, political, diplomatic, economic. Key persons in each area are involved,” Zelenskyi said.
According to him, “the necessary steps for Ukraine have already been clearly defined.”
“What can give us the strongest possible position to approach peace – a real, just peace. For each step there is a clear list of points, what exactly is necessary, what exactly will work for strengthening. There is no impossible thing there. More than 90% of everything has been written out,” the president said.
He noted that “as a whole, this package can ensure the correct development of the situation not only for Ukraine, but also for everyone in the world who values international law.”
“As early as next week, we are preparing a victory plan to present to our allies,” Zelenskyy added.
The German publication Bild previously wrote with reference to its own sources that President Volodymyr Zelensky, who during his visit to the USA planned to present his victory strategy, may declare his readiness to agree to a local ceasefire in certain areas of the front and thus temporarily freeze the situation.
At the beginning of this month, Zelenskyi said that Ukraine would present a victory plan to the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and both presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
On August 27, Zelenskyi said that he may hold a meeting with US President Joe Biden in September. He expressed hope that he will be able to attend the meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York at the end of the month.
Also, at his press conference in August, the President of Ukraine said that the operation of the Defense Forces in the Kursk region is part of Ukraine’s victory plan.
On August 19, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov repeated the statement of Russian leader Vladimir Putin from August 12 that after the Ukrainian offensive in Kurshchyna there is no question of negotiations.
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) is convinced that, in this way, Russian officials continued their attempts to blame Ukraine for the lack of negotiations to end the war.
