The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine satisfied the complaint of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. The re-registration of the logistics complex “MLP-Chaika” of the Russian oligarch Mikhail Gutseriev to the Turkish citizen Dogan Mesuta was canceled.

Journalists reported that the warehouses were re-registered to a Turkish businessman on December 12, 2023.
“The complaint was submitted to the BEB as part of an investigation into deliberate tax evasion in a particularly large amount. The investigation established that the real owner of “MLP-Chaika” is the under-sanctioned Mikhail Gutseriev. BEB detectives also recorded that in 2022-2023, 75 million hryvnias were withdrawn from the accounts of this company in the interests of persons connected with the Russian Federation,” the report says.
After the BEB’s complaint, the Ministry of Justice confirmed that the re-registration of logistics warehouses took place in violation of the sanctions legislation. The re-registration of “MLP-Chaika” to Dogan Mesuta was cancelled.
While the complaint was being considered by the ministry, the company’s employees tried to withdraw more than 240 million hryvnias from the accounts, but the Bureau of Economic Security blocked these funds.
On August 25, 2022, the Pechersk District Court seized 80,000 square meters of MLP-Chaika premises located near Kyiv.
Prosecutors said that these companies are actually still under the control of Gutseriev, who constantly supports the Russian government. However, the arrest was canceled in less than a month, and more than a year has passed since the publication of the investigation until the Ministry of Justice reacted to this violation.

The man works as a motocross instructor and maintains close contacts with Russian citizens, as well as organizes various motorcycle tours for them on a regular basis.
Mesut indicated that he is the owner of a small cow farm in Antalya.
Trap Aggressor noted that the Turkish embassy in Ukraine has already reacted to the decision of the Ministry of Justice. There, they appealed to the Ukrainian state authorities regarding the alleged violation of the Turkish businessman’s rights.
It was previously reported that another Russian oligarch, Roman Abramovich, a few weeks before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, transferred an art collection worth almost 1 billion dollars to his ex-wife.
