On September 15, 2024, Cherkasy hosted the largest charity run within the League of Runs “RUN 4 VICTORY” in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The event brought together about 1,000 participants who took part in various distances to support the 118th Territorial Defense Brigade. Thanks to activities, registration fees of runners and charitable donations, it was possible to collect a significant amount, which was doubled by the MHP company. All collected funds will go to the needs of the military, who defend Ukraine on the front lines.

This is the third race that the MHP company and the Charitable Foundation are holding this year “MHP-Community” in partnership with the sports community “Nature”. The purpose of these events is to raise funds to support Ukrainian defenders and popularize a healthy lifestyle. The event brought together amateur and professional runners from all over Ukraine, who competed at distances of 21, 10, 5 and 2 km. The youngest participants ran children’s distances – 200, 400 and 800 meters.

The installation was a special event of the race record of Ukraine. Firefighter-rescuer from Poltava Andriy Grechany ran a half-marathon in full firefighting gear, weighing more than 20 kg. He dedicated the race to a colleague from the Dnipropetrovsk State Emergency Service Mykola Nechiporenkowho died on June 22 due to severe injuries. This achievement was recorded in the Book of Records of Ukraine in the nomination “The greatest weight of the equipment of a firefighter-rescuer who overcame the half-marathon distance (21.1 km)”.

Oleksandr Voskoboynikthe head of the Central Hub of the MHP, thanked everyone who participated in the event: “There are no losers in our races, everyone is a winner! Everyone is a single organism that supports and gives strength to the defenders to fight! This is an opportunity to win over yourself and demonstrate the strength and character of Ukrainians !”.
