“Elina insists that the world must hear the stories of Ukrainian children and act immediately”, — write: sport.ua
“My heart sank when I met the brave little Ukrainians – Valeria, Mark, Jasmin, Lev, Alina and Olga. I was struck by their stories – stories about how they were taken from their homes by Russian troops.
It’s amazing how these kids inspired me. Despite what they had to go through: losing their home to bombings, being forced to attend Russian schools and lectures full of Russian propaganda and lies, and witnessing countless crimes, they are now doing better in their homeland. They learn, grow, understand and believe in a peaceful future.
As I listened to each child’s stories, I felt a growing determination to share their stories with the world. We must make sure that their voices are heard by every leader and every person. These stories should inspire action. Every child deserves to dream freely and feel love.
Thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative and the efforts of our partners, these children returned home and are safe. But thousands of others are still in Russian captivity, separated from their families and deprived of their childhood.
We will not stop until all Ukrainian children are returned home. Every day counts. The world must hear the children’s stories and act immediately,” Elina wrote.
