According to Bloomberg, Starmer and Maloney will also discuss the hybrid threats posed by the Russian Federation to Europe and confirm support for the reconstruction of Ukraine

Starmer’s visit to Rome comes days after his talks with US President Joe Biden in Washington. They discussed whether to allow Ukraine to launch long-range strikes against Russia with Storm Shadow missiles, using US navigation data.

Agency sources noted that British officials will hold talks on the matter with their French and German counterparts in the coming days.

Earlier, British Foreign Minister David Lammy emphasized that further discussions between allies and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi will take place at the UN meeting this month.

“It is important that all allies who support Ukraine adhere to a single strategy to achieve victory,” Lammy emphasized in an interview with the BBC.
