According to him, this was the eighth air attack by the invaders on Kyiv, “and this is only in the first half of September.”
“Like the previous attacks, the enemy once again used attack UAVs, probably like the Shahed. But unlike the last attacks, this one was massive. The air alert was declared in the capital around two in the morning and lasted for about 3 and a half hours. Russian attack drones were heading to Kyiv from different directions and in different groups. Air defense forces and means hit almost two dozen enemy UAVs in the airspace around the capital,” the message reads.
According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage in Kyiv.
The KMVA did not specify the type and number of weapons used by the Russian Federation, noting that the Air Force would report this.
On the evening of September 15, the Air Force reported that Russia had launched Shahedi over Ukraine, and the drones were moving in several directions at once.
The forces of the Russian Federation regularly attack Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
