This was stated by the National Security Adviser of the US President, Jake Sullivan, Sky News reports.
Sullivan made a corresponding statement at the Yalta European Strategy Forum. According to the national security adviser, Joe Biden will speak directly with Volodymyr Zelensky about the use of long-range weapons and about the “significant” package of military aid that is being prepared.
Sullivan noted that the presidents will discuss lifting restrictions on Ukraine later this month. It will probably happen at the UN General Assembly in New York.
The adviser to the US president also emphasized that the question of whether Ukraine would be given permission to use Western weapons to carry out attacks deep into Russia was the subject of “intense consultations” between the allies.
Zelensky previously stated that he wants to present to Biden a plan for the victory of Ukraine.
“I really think we need a comprehensive strategy to succeed in this war, and that’s what President Zelensky says he’s going to bring,” Sullivan said, adding that Biden is “willing to have that conversation.”
