The head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, discussed further support for Ukraine with the American delegation, which included, in particular, US congressmen.
The meeting was attended by members of the House of Representatives Jim Costa, Jimmy Panetta, Saljud Carbajal (Democrat) and Don Bacon (Republican), Ohio Republican Senator (2011-2023) Rob Portman, Republican candidate for Congress in the 2024 election of the year Troy Downing, candidate for Congress from the Democratic Party in the 2024 elections Herbert Conaway, Permanent Representative of the United States to NATO (2013-2017) Douglas Lute, co-founder and executive director of the organization With Honor Ray Burcott.
From the side of Ukraine, the following took part in the meeting: Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Viktor Mykyta, Chairman of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada Davyd Arakhamia, People’s Deputies Oleksandra Ustinova and Ivan Krulko.
Andriy Yermak thanked the Congress, the US President and the entire American people for their constant support of Ukraine.
“Now we are experiencing a historic moment, especially after the Kursk operation. It shows that we can not only defend ourselves, but also achieve victory in this war,” he said.
The Head of the Office of the Head of the State reminded that in the near future Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to present the plan for Ukraine’s victory to US President Joseph Biden, as well as to Congress and both presidential candidates.
“This plan is about how to create an atmosphere and a situation where it will be possible to ignore what is in Putin’s head. And that Russia should really be forced to sit down at the negotiating table and accept the end of this war on terms acceptable to Ukraine. And our conditions are clear – everything is described in President Zelenskyi’s Peace Formula,” he said.
Andriy Yermak also drew attention to the need to strengthen cooperation between the regions of Ukraine and the US states.
