Ukrainian Media Group Provides Housing for Displaced Family from Luhansk

The media organization ‘Trukha Ukraine’ has facilitated the purchase of an apartment for a family displaced from Lysychansk, a city in the Luhansk region currently under occupation. This initiative is part of their ongoing project titled ‘Trukha Gives Housing.’

The beneficiaries, Olha and Yevhen, along with their two children, received the keys to their new home. Olha, who has a second-degree disability due to complications from diabetes, requires continuous medical care. Yevhen is a veteran who has been displaced twice and suffered a concussion during his service. Prior to this assistance, the family was living in a cramped 12-square-meter room in a former monastery in Lviv.

“You are simply giving people their lives back. We have two children, and if they have no place to live, then life for us is over. Now we know our children have a home,”

Olha expressed after signing the necessary documents.

Maxim Lavrynenko, the founder and owner of ‘Trukha Ukraine,’ thanked the family for their trust and emphasized that this achievement was made possible through the collective efforts of the ‘Trukha Ukraine’ team.

About the ‘Trukha Gives Housing’ Project

This initiative has been operational for three years, during which time it has provided housing to families in Kharkiv whose homes were destroyed by shelling, a large family of displaced persons from Kharkiv who experienced occupation, and a pensioner with a disability from the Bakhmut district of Donetsk who is raising her orphaned grandson in Kyiv.

Applications for assistance can be submitted via an online form. The team processes these requests carefully and confidentially, prioritizing those in the most difficult circumstances, including large families, single parents, families with disabled members, and relatives of deceased or missing defenders.
