The survey also highlighted regional differences in celebration plans. In eastern Ukraine, 61% of respondents indicated they would celebrate, down from 75% in 2021. Similarly, 51% in the south and 44% in Kyiv plan to partake, compared to 77% and 61% respectively in 2021. The central regions show 42% support for the holiday, a decrease from 69%, while only 34% in the west intend to celebrate, down from 58%.
Demographic data reveals that middle-aged men (ages 36-50) are the most likely to celebrate, with 58% indicating plans to do so. Among women in the same age group, 42% expressed similar intentions. Younger men (ages 18-35) showed a 48% likelihood to celebrate, while older men (51 and above) reported a 46% intention. Women aged 18-35 and those over 51 showed lower participation rates at 36% and 42%, respectively.
