LEROY MERLIN UKRAINE’s Commitment to Community and Employees in 2025

In 2025, LEROY MERLIN UKRAINE showcased its dedication to social responsibility amid ongoing conflict, emphasizing that business success extends beyond financial metrics. The company contributed 110 million UAH in taxes to the Ukrainian budget while prioritizing charitable initiatives.

Focus on Charitable and Humanitarian Efforts

Through a partnership with the Solidarity charity fund, LEROY MERLIN has undertaken significant social projects. Notably, the company funded a major renovation of the surgical department at the 8th City Clinical Hospital in Kyiv, enhancing 1,350 square meters at a cost of 16.9 million UAH. Additionally, the children’s diagnostic center at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv underwent a transformation, with over 2,500 square meters renovated, costing the charity more than 17 million UAH.

The company also provided immediate humanitarian aid, delivering 547 portable heaters and over 6,000 liters of fuel to communities in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions, supporting thousands affected by the conflict.

Energy resilience was another focus, with the donation of 100 generators to homeowners’ associations, hospitals, educational institutions, and resilience points in Kyiv, Irpin, and the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

Employee Engagement and Profit Sharing

In 2025, LEROY MERLIN implemented the ALL ADEO program, aimed at enhancing employee welfare across all ADEO group countries, including Ukraine. This initiative allows employees to share in the company’s financial success, ensuring equitable access to the value generated.

Each employee received €466 as a share of the company’s global success, with the option to invest in the internal shareholding system, effectively becoming co-owners of the business.

“Supporting people today is an investment in the resilience of our business tomorrow. It is crucial for us that everyone feels like a co-creator of our results,” stated Axel Bernal, CEO of LEROY MERLIN UKRAINE.

Adapting European HR Practices

The 2025 strategy also involved tailoring European HR practices to the Ukrainian context. According to recruitment and onboarding manager Yulia Kuznetsova, the company reassessed its approach to compensation and team development. The average salary is approximately 45,000 UAH, with starting salaries for sales consultants without experience beginning at 26,000 UAH. A collective bonus system and additional incentives are also in place.
