On February 16, Ukraine will experience a mix of cold temperatures and precipitation, including rain and wet snow, which is expected to taper off by the afternoon. In the western regions, temperatures will drop to between -7 and -13 degrees Celsius, while northern areas will see temperatures fluctuate from +1 to -12 degrees. For instance, in Zhytomyr, temperatures will reach -12, in Kyiv -8, and in Chernihiv -7, while Sumy may see a warmer +1 degree.
Central Ukraine will experience similar conditions, with nighttime temperatures around -12 in Vinnytsia, -2 in Kropyvnytskyi, -7 in Cherkasy, -1 in Poltava, and +1 in Dnipro. Eastern regions will be slightly warmer, ranging from +1 to +4 degrees, while the southern parts will see temperatures between -2 and +4, with Crimea reaching up to +8 degrees.

By Monday afternoon, temperatures are expected to range from -5 to -10 degrees in the west and north, -2 to +4 in the center, +3 to +8 in the east, and +2 to +5 in the south, with Crimea possibly hitting +10 degrees.
Didenko also noted that a strong northwesterly wind, with gusts reaching storm levels, will affect the weather, although western regions may see more moderate winds. Drivers in the western and northern areas, as well as in Vinnytsia and Cherkasy, should be cautious of icy roads.
In Kyiv, heavy precipitation, including wet snow and strong winds, is expected overnight into February 16. However, by the afternoon, significant precipitation should cease, with temperatures in the capital hovering between -6 and -9 degrees and icy conditions persisting on the roads.
The weather forecast for February 16 in Ukraine indicates a cold start with mixed precipitation, particularly in the southern and eastern regions. While conditions are expected to improve by afternoon, icy roads may pose challenges for travelers.
