Ukrainian Military Reports Intensified Combat Operations Amid Ongoing Conflict

As of March 2, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 136 combat engagements on the front lines, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The report, issued at 22:00, detailed that the enemy conducted 56 airstrikes, dropped 163 guided bombs, deployed 5,605 kamikaze drones, and carried out 2,691 shelling incidents targeting both civilian areas and military positions.

The majority of the clashes were concentrated in four key areas: Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk in Donetsk, and Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy attempted to advance 11 times in the vicinity of the settlements of Platonivka, Zakittne, Riznykivka, and towards Ozerne.

In Kostiantynivka, there were 10 assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Sofiivka, and towards Illinivka.

In the Pokrovsk area, 21 attacks were reported, with attempts to advance near the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and towards Novopavlivka and Shevchenko. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

The Huliaipole direction saw 37 attacks in the regions of Huliaipole, Zelenyi, and towards Tsvitkove, Zaliznychnyi, Varvarivka, Sviatopetrivka, Huliaipilske, and Staroukrainka. The enemy also conducted airstrikes in the areas of Barvinivka, Vozdvizhivka, Charivne, Dolynka, and Liubytske. Four combat engagements are currently in progress.

Fighting has also continued in the South Slobozhansky, Lyman, Oleksandrivka, and Orikhiv directions.

On February 15, military analyst Kostiantyn Mashovets from the Information Resistance group reported that Ukrainian forces had conducted counteroffensive operations in several areas around Huliaipole and Zaporizhzhia. According to his findings, the Ukrainian military managed to dislodge Russian troops from several villages near Pokrovsk in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and Ternove in Zaporizhzhia, as well as to the north and west of Huliaipole and south of Zaporizhzhia. However, the Ukrainian General Staff has not commented on these counteroffensive actions, stating that the Russian army is actively conducting assaults in these regions.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported a significant increase in combat activities on March 2, with numerous attacks and airstrikes from Russian forces across multiple fronts. Despite ongoing clashes, the Ukrainian military has also engaged in counteroffensive operations in certain areas.
