The volunteer medical battalion “Hospitallers” in Ukraine is preparing an expanded financial report following allegations of opaque donation usage. The organization has stated its readiness for open communication, although some information will remain undisclosed for security reasons.
Yana Zinkevych, the founder of the battalion and a member of parliament, announced that the team is currently organizing financial data and plans to release a detailed account of fund utilization. However, she emphasized that not all information can be made public to protect the identities of partners and donors.
Zinkevych also noted that the charity’s leadership has not received any official requests for information. She added that the organization typically responds to inquiries from the public and is willing to clarify its activities.
In response to accusations made by journalist Olena Khudetska on social media platform X, Zinkevych stated that she had answered all of Khudetska’s questions, but the journalist did not incorporate these responses and continued to publish critical statements.
“We are open to communication and ready to show documents, audits, and other confirmations to those who support our work,” Zinkevych remarked.
Earlier, Khudetska claimed that the Hospitallers are linked to over a dozen legal entities, including commercial ones. She also alleged that multiple fundraising campaigns were opened for the same declared purpose and that funds, including from cryptocurrency wallets, were regularly withdrawn.
The battalion has denied any allegations of financial misconduct and asserts that it is working on the publication of an extensive financial report.
