Ukrainian drones launched an attack on the “Marine Oil Terminal” in Feodosia, Crimea, during the night of April 8, according to reports from Astra and various Ukrainian monitoring channels.
The Telegram channel Supernova+ reported that two storage tanks at the terminal are on fire, with flames visible from several kilometers away, as noted by Exilenova+.
As of now, Russian authorities have not officially confirmed the attack on the fuel terminal. The occupying government in Feodosia stated that, due to the current situation, several streets have been closed to vehicle traffic.
In addition to the attack in Crimea, drones also targeted the Russian-occupied city of Luhansk. Leonid Pasichnik, the head of the self-proclaimed “Luhansk People’s Republic,” reported three injuries and indicated that both apartment buildings and private homes were damaged.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have shot down 73 Ukrainian drones during the night of April 8, including those over the Oryol region and annexed Crimea. However, the ministry did not disclose how many drones successfully completed their missions.
Since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, various sites within Russia and in occupied territories have faced aerial assaults. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed many of these attacks, stating that Ukrainian defense forces are actively working to diminish the combat capabilities of Russian occupying forces and to pressure Russia into ceasing its armed aggression against Ukraine.
Ukrainian drones targeted a fuel terminal in Crimea, igniting two storage tanks, while additional strikes occurred in Luhansk, injuring three. Russian officials reported downing numerous drones but did not confirm the attacks.
