Ukrainian Athletes to Carry National Flag at Closing Ceremony of 2026 Winter Olympics

Ukrainian freestyle skiers Angelina Brykina and Dmytro Kotovskyi have been selected to carry their country’s flag during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.

Each participating nation featured two flag bearers—one male and one female—during the opening ceremony. For Ukraine, the flag was carried by skeleton athlete Vladyslav Geraskevych and short track speed skater Yelyzaveta Sydyroko.

Both Brykina and Kotovskyi participated in two events during the Olympics. Brykina finished 13th in the women’s individual competition, narrowly missing the finals, while Kotovskyi placed 17th in the men’s event. Together, they contributed to the Ukrainian team securing sixth place in the team competition.

The closing ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, at 21:30, and will be broadcast live on Suspilne Sport platforms and local Suspilne channels.

Ukrainian freestyle skiers Angelina Brykina and Dmytro Kotovskyi will represent their country as flag bearers at the upcoming closing ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. Both athletes achieved commendable results in their respective events during the Games.
