On March 24, Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska participated in the inaugural summit of the global coalition Fostering the Future Together at the White House. During her address, she highlighted Ukraine’s initiatives in digitalization and education.
Zelenska shared insights via Facebook about the ‘Diia’ application, which has enabled the government to remain accessible to millions displaced by the war. She noted that even during the most challenging defense moments, individuals could start businesses, access services, register for benefits, or even get married online. The ‘Diia’ app was recognized as one of TIME’s best inventions of the year.
Additionally, Zelenska mentioned the educational platform ‘Diia.Education’ and the school platform ‘Mriya,’ which has connected one in four educational institutions in Ukraine. She also introduced ‘Mriya.Doshkillya,’ a project for kindergartens launched in 35 institutions across six regions. Furthermore, she discussed the national center for artificial intelligence development, WINWIN AI Center of Excellence, which is set to begin operations in 2025.
‘We are joining the initiative led by Mrs. Trump and see it as an important step to elevate the topic of child development and education to a global level, uniting countries around shared responsibilities,’ Zelenska stated.
The summit, hosted at the invitation of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump, aims to unite nations around enhancing children’s opportunities through education and modern technologies. Over two days, representatives from 45 countries, including Ukraine, and 28 technology companies will convene at the White House.
