During a diplomatic visit to Panama, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister inaugurated the Ukrainian embassy and finalized several cooperation agreements between the two nations.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the embassy will focus on enhancing political dialogue, deepening economic collaboration, supporting cultural ties, and fostering closer relations between the two countries.
“Panama serves as a bridge between continents, oceans, and economies. Ukraine is a link in global food security, innovation, and resilience. Above all, this embassy symbolizes something very important: presence. Ukraine is present in Panama. Ukraine is present in Latin America,” the minister stated.
Additionally, during his visit, Minister Kuleba and his Panamanian counterpart, Javier Martínez-Acha, agreed on a roadmap for developing bilateral relations from 2026 to 2029. The country also officially joined the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.
The ministers signed a Memorandum of Academic Cooperation, which aims to facilitate collaboration between diplomatic academies and enhance partnerships in education and science between the two nations.
Ukraine has established its embassy in Panama, marking a significant step in diplomatic relations. The visit included the signing of various agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation in political, economic, and cultural areas.
