The Ukrainian government has approved a new procedure to provide financial compensation for utility expenses incurred by owners and tenants of evacuation centers for internally displaced persons. Applications for these payments can now be submitted online, with funds disbursed monthly by the 25th.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that the compensation will cover costs associated with essential services, including heating, water, electricity, as well as expenses for liquefied gas and both solid and liquid household fuels.
Individuals can apply for compensation through their personal accounts on the Pension Fund’s electronic services portal. The National Social Services Agency and its regional offices will oversee the distribution of these funds, ensuring proper allocation.
“The state continues to systematically support those who have been forced to leave their homes, as well as those providing them with temporary shelter,” Svyrydenko stated.
The Ukrainian government has streamlined the process for compensating utility costs for evacuation centers, allowing online applications and monthly payments. This initiative aims to assist both displaced individuals and their temporary hosts during ongoing challenges.
