Ukraine Intercepts Majority of Russian Drones in Overnight Attack

In the early hours of April 10, Russian forces launched an extensive aerial assault on Ukraine, deploying 128 strike drones, including types such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas, alongside a ballistic missile, Iskander-M. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted 113 of these drones, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The air defense operations involved a coordinated response from aviation units, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups from Ukraine’s defense forces. This multi-faceted approach aimed to counter the scale of the attack.

As reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, by 8:00 AM, a total of 113 enemy drones had been neutralized across various regions, including the north, south, and east of the country. The report indicated that 14 strike drones successfully hit six locations, with debris falling in seven other areas. Despite the extensive interception efforts, some drones remain active in Ukrainian airspace.

Ukrainian air defense forces managed to intercept a significant number of Russian drones during a large-scale attack, although some drones still remain operational in the area. The coordinated response involved multiple military units to mitigate the impact of the assault.
