Ukraine Intercepts Majority of Russian Drones in Overnight Assault

In the early hours of March 26, Ukraine’s air defense forces successfully intercepted a significant portion of a Russian drone attack involving 153 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Ukrainian military reported that 130 of these drones were neutralized during the operation.

The Ukrainian Air Force detailed that the response to this latest aerial assault involved a coordinated effort from aviation units, surface-to-air missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. These combined forces aimed to protect various regions across the country.

According to preliminary reports, by 8:00 AM, Ukrainian defenses had downed or suppressed 130 enemy drones, including models such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas, across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Despite the high interception rate, the attack resulted in 16 drones successfully striking 11 locations, with debris reported to have fallen in five areas. As the situation developed, Ukrainian airspace remained active with additional drones still detected.

Ukraine's air defense forces managed to intercept a majority of the drones launched by Russia in a recent attack, demonstrating their capability amid ongoing hostilities. However, some drones still managed to reach their targets, indicating the persistent threat posed by aerial assaults.
