In response to recent missile strikes on energy facilities, Ukraine has initiated power supply restrictions across all regions. Emergency outages are ongoing in several areas, including Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy.
As of the morning of March 19, the national energy company, Ukrenergo, reported that consumers in these regions remain without electricity due to the attacks. Recovery efforts are underway where security conditions permit.
“Where safety allows, emergency restoration works have already begun. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible,” the company stated.
From 08:00 to 21:00, power limitation schedules are being applied to industrial enterprises, along with hourly outages for residential consumers throughout the country.
Ukrenergo also noted a decrease in electricity consumption, with levels recorded at 4.3% lower than the same time the previous day as of 9:30 on March 19. The daily maximum consumption on March 18 was 1.2% lower than the peak on March 17.
The company urges consumers to use electricity sparingly and, if possible, to shift energy-intensive activities to nighttime hours after 22:00.
Ukraine has enacted power supply restrictions due to missile attacks on energy infrastructure, affecting multiple regions. Recovery efforts are in progress, and the public is encouraged to conserve energy.
