U.S. Offers $10 Million Reward for Information on Iranian Revolutionary Guard Leaders

The U.S. State Department’s “Reward for Justice” program has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information regarding key leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who are believed to be responsible for orchestrating terrorist operations globally.

This announcement was made via a post on the program’s social media page, detailing the individuals for whom information is sought:

  • Mohsen Hamedani — the newly appointed Supreme Leader of Iran;
  • Ali Asghar Hejazi — head of the Supreme Leader’s administration;
  • Ali Larijani — advisor to the Iranian Minister of Interior;
  • Yahya Rahim Safavi — senior military advisor to the Supreme Leader;
  • Eskandar Momeni — head of the Ministry of Interior;
  • Esmaeil Khatib — Minister of Intelligence and Security.

Additionally, the U.S. is interested in information about the Secretary of the Defense Council, an advisor to the Supreme Leader, the head of the military department, and the commander of the IRGC.

Along with the financial reward, the State Department guarantees informants the possibility of relocation for their safety.

On March 8, Iran’s Assembly of Experts elected Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic.

In his first address since his election, Mojtaba Khamenei stated that the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for a significant portion of the world’s oil supply, should remain closed as a “pressure instrument.”

Military Operations by Israel and the U.S. Against Iran

On February 28, Israel conducted an attack on Tehran, prompting U.S. President Donald Trump to announce that American forces had initiated a “major military operation” against Iran aimed at eliminating perceived threats from the Iranian regime. He accused Iranian authorities of funding and training militants in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Hamas in Palestine, asserting that the operation’s goal was to dismantle Iran’s missile industry and fleet, thereby preventing global destabilization.

The IRGC responded by launching missiles and drones toward Israel and attacking U.S. military bases in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

In light of the U.S. military actions against Iran, French President Emmanuel Macron called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

The European Union reaffirmed its “steadfast commitment to ensuring regional security and stability” in the Middle East.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that it is just to give Iranians a chance to rid themselves of a “terrorist regime” and ensure safety for all nations affected by attacks from Iran.

On March 1, the IRGC announced the commencement of “the most destructive offensive operation in the history of the Islamic Republic” against Israel and “American terrorist bases.” Trump urged the Iranian regime to abandon these plans, threatening a “very strong strike” in response.

On March 2, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated that the next phase of military operations against Iran would be even more devastating.

On March 6, Trump called for a complete change in Iran’s leadership, noting that he already had several candidates in mind for a “good leader.”

On March 8, the Assembly of Experts elected Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader of Iran. Trump declined to comment on this election, stating only, “We will see what happens.” Previously, he had suggested that Iran’s new leader would not last long without the approval of the White House.

The U.S. has announced a $10 million reward for information on Iranian Revolutionary Guard leaders linked to global terrorism. This comes amid escalating military tensions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, following recent military operations and the election of a new Supreme Leader in Iran.
