Trump articulated that the primary goals of U.S. military actions in Iran include the complete dismantling of the country’s missile capabilities, launch systems, and related assets. He emphasized the intention to eliminate Iran’s defense industry and naval and air forces, including their anti-aircraft weaponry. Furthermore, Trump asserted that the U.S. aims to prevent Iran from approaching nuclear capabilities.
In addition to military objectives, Trump commented on the security of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that it should be monitored and protected by the countries that utilize it, rather than the U.S. He mentioned that while the U.S. would assist these nations if requested, such assistance would not be necessary once the Iranian threat is eradicated.
