Trump Criticizes U.S. Involvement in Ukraine During Press Briefing

During a recent press briefing, President Donald Trump expressed his belief that the United States should not have intervened in Ukraine. He stated that the distance between the U.S. and Ukraine is significant, emphasizing that the country is thousands of miles away across the ocean.

Trump remarked, “We are spending billions. We didn’t need to get involved in Ukraine. We helped them, but our previous president was foolish to give them $350 billion without receiving anything in return. We have spent so much on ammunition, and now we are producing it nationwide because of the extensive support given to Ukraine. Meanwhile, I am selling them ammunition, and the European Union is footing the bill for that.”

In a related context, Trump also threatened European allies that he would halt weapon supplies to Ukraine under the PURL program unless they participated in efforts to secure the Strait of Hormuz.

President Trump criticized U.S. financial support for Ukraine during a press briefing, arguing against American involvement in the conflict. He also threatened to stop weapon supplies to Ukraine unless European allies contribute to regional security efforts.
