Trump Claims Iran Agrees to Majority of U.S. Peace Plan Points

President Donald Trump announced that Iran has accepted most of the 15-point peace plan proposed by the United States, communicated through Pakistan. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump expressed optimism about the negotiations, stating, “They agreed to most of the points. Why not?”

Trump elaborated that Iran has also committed to supplying oil, which he claimed would be shipped starting tomorrow as a demonstration of their seriousness in the discussions. He mentioned, “To prove they are serious, they provided us with all these vessels. When I referred to a gift four days ago, I said they gave me something, but I didn’t think it was appropriate to disclose what it was. It was eight plus two—ten huge vessels of oil. Today, they made us another gift, providing us with 20 oil vessels, with shipments commencing tomorrow.”

The president indicated that productive meetings, both direct and indirect, are taking place, suggesting significant progress is being made. He previously stated his intention to “capture oil in Iran,” drawing parallels to actions taken in Venezuela.

In related developments, reports from the Washington Post indicate that the Pentagon is preparing for potential weeks-long ground operations in Iran. Additionally, The New York Times has noted an increase in U.S. military presence in the Middle East, with over 50,000 troops currently deployed—10,000 more than usual.

Following Iran’s warning about a possible U.S. ground invasion, oil prices surged on the night of March 30.

President Trump claims Iran has largely accepted a U.S. peace plan while committing to supply oil. Increased military presence in the region raises concerns amid ongoing negotiations.
