Scheduled Power Outages Across Ukraine Due to Energy Supply Issues

On Tuesday, February 17, power outages will be implemented across all regions of Ukraine according to hourly schedules for both residential and industrial consumers. This announcement was made by the state-owned energy company, Ukrenergo.

While specific times and volumes of the outages were not disclosed, the company attributed the necessity for these measures to the aftermath of extensive Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

Ukrenergo advised citizens to monitor updates on the official websites of regional energy suppliers, as the timing and extent of the outages may vary.

Since January 14, a state of emergency in the energy sector has been in effect, as mandated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in response to Russian strikes and deteriorating weather conditions affecting energy supply.

Ukraine is set to experience scheduled power outages due to damage from recent Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure. Citizens are advised to stay informed through regional energy suppliers as the situation develops.
