Russian Strikes Hit Odessa, Damaging Maternity Hospital and Residential Buildings

Russian forces launched a second wave of attacks on Odessa overnight, resulting in damage to a maternity hospital and residential buildings. Local authorities reported injuries and fires as a result of the strikes.

According to Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, the attacks targeted civilian infrastructure in the Primorsky district. A missile struck the roof of the maternity hospital, but fortunately, staff and patients were able to take shelter in time.

Reports indicate that the strikes caused partial destruction between the fourth and fifth floors of a nearby apartment building. Additionally, windows in various homes across the district were shattered due to the blast wave.

In the private sector, several residential houses caught fire as a result of the explosions. Preliminary reports suggest that four individuals sustained injuries and are receiving medical assistance.

This incident follows a drone attack on Odessa on the night of March 28, which also resulted in damage to residential areas and infrastructure. On March 27, Russian forces targeted Kryvyi Rih, causing damage to the residential sector there as well.

Odessa experienced renewed Russian strikes, damaging a maternity hospital and residential buildings. Local authorities reported injuries and ongoing medical assistance for the affected individuals.
