On March 14, Russian forces shelled 21 populated areas in the Kharkiv region, leading to the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others, as reported by Oleg Synegubov, the head of the regional military administration.
The fatalities included a 27-year-old and a 56-year-old, both emergency medical service workers, who were killed near the village of Chervona Khvylia. A 54-year-old man was also injured in the attack, while a 63-year-old woman sustained injuries in the city of Kupiansk.
Synegubov detailed the damage to civilian infrastructure caused by the shelling, which included:
- In the Bohodukhiv district: five private homes, three outbuildings, and a garage in Oleksiivka; four private houses and a vehicle in Pokrovka; and damage to railway infrastructure in Maiak.
- In the Kupiansk district: damage to a civil enterprise in Prykolotne, three private homes, and two outbuildings in Spodivka; a vehicle in Nova Oleksandrivka; and an emergency medical vehicle in Chervona Khvylia.
- In the Izyum district: damage to two private homes and outbuildings in Borova.
- In the Kharkiv district: damage to a private house and a vehicle in Ruska Lozova; a warehouse in Solonytsivka; and a private house and club in Hryhorivka.
- In the Chuhuiv district: damage to power lines in Kochetok and a private house in Khotimlya.
