Russian Missile Strike Hits Residential Building in Kharkiv

In the early hours of March 7, a missile strike by the Russian military targeted a residential building in Kharkiv, Ukraine, leading to significant destruction and raising concerns about casualties.

According to Kharkiv’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov, the missile directly struck a five-story apartment block in the Kyiv district, resulting in extensive damage and a fire. He reported that people may be trapped under the rubble.

As of 2:45 AM local time, Terekhov confirmed that rescue operations were underway. Initial reports indicated that at least ten individuals had sustained injuries by 3:20 AM.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration, stated that four people received medical assistance at the scene, while three others were hospitalized. He mentioned that approximately five individuals might still be trapped beneath the debris.

Emergency services are actively working at the site, as the search and rescue operation continues. Terekhov described the building as nearly completely destroyed, complicating efforts to reach those potentially trapped due to ongoing fire hazards.
