In the early hours of March 14, Russian forces launched a significant missile and drone assault on the Kyiv region, leading to the deaths of two individuals and injuring at least eight others. The attack primarily targeted the Brovary district, where substantial damage was reported.
According to Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the assault involved a coordinated strike using both drones and missiles. He confirmed that two fatalities occurred in the Brovary area, where a dormitory, production facilities, and storage buildings sustained damage.
In addition to the casualties, the Brovary city mayor, Ihor Sapozhko, indicated that all injured individuals were promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. The impact of the attack extended beyond Brovary, with reports of damage in the Obukhiv district, where a technical facility of a multi-story building was affected, and several vehicles caught fire nearby.
Further incidents were reported in the Bucha district, where a private residence caught fire due to the strikes. In the Vyshhorod district, warehouses were engulfed in flames, and a multi-apartment residential building also suffered damage, resulting in one injury.
Kalashnyk emphasized the ongoing response efforts, stating, “All emergency services, including rescuers, medical personnel, and police, are actively working at the sites. We are doing everything possible to mitigate the consequences of the attack and assist the affected individuals.”
