Russian Forces Launch Drone Attack on Kharkiv’s Saltivka District

In the early hours of March 8, Russian military forces targeted the Saltivka district of Kharkiv using a strike drone. The city’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov, confirmed the attack, stating, “The enemy struck the Saltivka district with a Shahed drone. We are currently assessing the damage.”

This incident follows a previous assault on March 7, when Russian forces launched a ballistic missile at a residential building in Kharkiv, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals and injuries to at least ten others. The missile strike also caused damage to a local lyceum in the Kyiv district.

The ongoing attacks highlight the persistent threat faced by civilians in Kharkiv, a city that has been a focal point of conflict since the onset of hostilities. Local authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as new information becomes available.

Recent drone and missile strikes by Russian forces in Kharkiv have resulted in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure. Local officials are actively assessing the impact of these attacks.
