Russian Attack Damages Commercial Vessels in Odesa, Injures Two

Two commercial vessels flying the flags of Palau and Barbados were damaged during a Russian drone strike in Odesa on the night of March 20. The attack resulted in injuries to two individuals, who received medical assistance.

According to Oleksiy Kuleba, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community and Territorial Development, the ships were docked and loaded with grain at the time of the assault. Despite the damage, both vessels remain afloat.

Kuleba also reported that administrative buildings in the vicinity were affected by the strike, leading to a fire that was quickly contained by emergency responders. Efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.

A recent Russian drone attack in Odesa has resulted in damage to two commercial vessels and injuries to two people. The incident underscores the ongoing risks to maritime operations in the region.
