Nationwide Protests Against Trump Under ‘No Kings’ Banner

Protests titled “No Kings” erupted across the United States on March 28, 2026, with demonstrators voicing their opposition to President Donald Trump. Organizers reported over a thousand events nationwide, drawing millions of participants.

In Washington, D.C., protesters marched past the Lincoln Memorial and along the National Mall, holding banners and signs that criticized Trump’s policies and called for him to “drop the crown.” Many expressed their discontent with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Participants shared their motivations for joining the protests, highlighting their dissatisfaction with Trump’s administration. One protester remarked, “Another senseless war we’re being dragged into (referring to the U.S. and Israel’s conflict with Iran). They’re trying to distract us from Epstein, environmental crises, homelessness, and yet another war he’s pulling us into. It’s all about diverting attention to save his own situation.”

Several protesters carried Ukrainian flags, emphasizing solidarity with Ukraine. John Bear, one of the demonstrators, stated he wanted to remind others about Ukraine’s struggle. “It’s inspiring how they resist Russia and stand for democracy. I never realized how rare democracies are worldwide until Trump became president,” he said, urging that military aid should be directed to Ukraine instead of Iran.

Another protester, Barbara, also showcased a Ukrainian flag and criticized Trump’s policies regarding Ukraine. She expressed her desire for the U.S. to stick to its original support plan for Ukraine, accusing Trump of playing manipulative games. “He’s a fraud and a liar,” she added, reflecting her broader discontent with his administration.

Barbara further stated, “We’re all being psychologically tortured. I swear, this is chaos for chaos’s sake, and people need to ignore it. Stop arguing with those who don’t understand.”

The “No Kings” protests are set to take place in all 50 states, with Minnesota being a focal point for several events. Organizers anticipate over a thousand marches in cities including Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles, with expectations of more than 9 million participants nationwide.
