A recent large-scale drone strike by Russia has led to temporary power outages affecting consumers in several Ukrainian regions, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Cherkasy, and Odesa.
The National Energy Company of Ukraine (Ukrenergo) reported the incidents via Telegram, noting that emergency repair work is ongoing in all impacted areas, contingent upon the prevailing security conditions. Energy workers are operating under heightened protocols to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
“Given the weather conditions, it is advisable to shift energy-intensive processes to the most productive hours of solar power generation — from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During the evening hours, all regions of Ukraine require energy conservation. Please limit the use of high-power electrical devices from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and avoid using multiple such devices simultaneously,”
the energy company urged.
Ukrenergo emphasized that the situation within the energy system is fluid, and residents are encouraged to check local energy provider pages for the latest information on power outages.
