On March 8, law enforcement officials in Ivano-Frankivsk apprehended a local resident following an incident where he discharged a starter pistol during a confrontation with a group of men.
The police received a report at 19:01 regarding gunfire near a grocery store on Sorokhteya Street. Upon investigation, officers discovered that a conflict had erupted among the men, leading to the suspect, a 42-year-old man, firing three shots while under the influence of alcohol.
The authorities quickly detained the individual and transported him to the Ivano-Frankivsk district police department for further questioning. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the event.
Earlier that same day, another shooting incident occurred in Lviv on Haydamatska Street, resulting in one person being hospitalized. Police are currently taking measures to apprehend the assailant involved in that case.
