On March 23, Latvia formalized a memorandum of understanding with key Ukrainian enterprises and organizations in the defense sector. This agreement, announced by the Latvian Ministry of Defense, aims to foster long-term collaboration between the two nations.
The memorandum is designed to provide targeted state support to Ukrainian companies intending to establish or expand their operations in Latvia. The initiative will be coordinated by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency, the Ministry of Economics, and the Ministry of Defense.
This partnership seeks to create a joint defense industry ecosystem that promotes technological exchange and economic growth in both countries. Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “The combat experience of the Ukrainian defense industry combined with Latvia’s technological potential is a powerful combination.
