The Iranian National Security Council has declared a “historic victory” in its ongoing conflict with the United States and its allies. This announcement was made via social media, emphasizing unity among Iranian officials and citizens during this pivotal moment.
In its statement, the Council asserted that the US has agreed to all ten points of Iran’s proposed peace plan. Key elements of this plan include commitments to non-aggression, maintaining Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, and allowing uranium enrichment.
Additional stipulations involve the lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions, cessation of all United Nations Security Council resolutions, and the withdrawal of American military forces from the region. The plan also calls for ending the conflict on all fronts, including the war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The statement further claimed that Iran, along with its allies from the so-called “axis of resistance,” has inflicted significant damage on US and Israeli forces. The Council noted, “Iran and the resistance forces, after a historic battle, have left the enemy in a state of impasse.”
Prior to this announcement, US President Donald Trump indicated a willingness to suspend bombings and attacks on Iran for two weeks if the country agreed to fully open the Strait of Hormuz. Subsequently, Israel joined this temporary ceasefire.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated that Iran would halt military actions and ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz within two weeks if attacks on the country ceased.
Iran's National Security Council has announced a significant victory over the US and its allies, claiming agreement on a peace plan. The plan includes key concessions from the US and emphasizes regional stability.
