Intensified Fighting Reported on Multiple Fronts in Ukraine

The Ukrainian military reported a significant escalation in combat activities across various fronts as of today, with a total of 151 clashes recorded. This uptick in hostilities is attributed to improved weather conditions, which have facilitated increased ground operations.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, approximately one-third of these confrontations occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. Here, Russian forces launched 51 attacks in efforts to advance in areas such as Bilitske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Udačne, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Nova Shakhivka, Muravka, Horikhove, and towards Hryshyne, Filyi, and Novooleksandrivka. Two assault actions are reportedly ongoing.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian troops conducted 19 assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions near Pleshchiyivka, Ivanopillia, Rusynyi Yark, and toward Illinivka, Sofiivka, Mykolaivka, Novopavlivka, and Kostiantynivka.

The Hulyaipole direction saw 15 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Hulyaipole, Olenokostyantynivka, Myrne, Rivnopillia, and towards Zaliznychnyi, with three assaults continuing in this area.

Combat operations are also ongoing in the South Slobozhansky, Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, and Dniprovskyi directions. However, no active offensive actions were reported in the Orikhiv direction.

On March 31, the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces noted attempts by Russian forces to utilize fog and mist for concealed movement towards Hryshyne, located northwest of Pokrovsk, but these efforts reportedly yielded no results.

General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated on March 26 that intense fighting continues in the Southern Operational Zone, with Ukrainian forces monitoring the regrouping of Russian troops.

In an interview with Radio Svoboda on March 19, Ruslan Habinet, commander of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, which is active in the Pokrovsk direction, confirmed that defense forces maintain control over certain areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk.

Military analysts have noted a marked increase in combat intensity in the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict, particularly due to favorable weather conditions, and anticipate a rise in Russian ground operations as March progresses.

The Ukrainian military has reported a sharp increase in combat activity across multiple fronts, with 151 clashes noted today. This escalation is linked to improved weather conditions, enabling intensified Russian ground operations, particularly in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka regions.
